Meeting Day

This is going to be a quick blog as today is Wednesday Meeting Day. We had a great day today starting with our Cha Cha Slide activity and then our morning meeting. Our school safety message today was about the importance of remaining silent during a crisis drill. Ask your child why that is important and write their answer in the planner. In Reading today, we watched a video about the immense size of the universe. WOW-Amazes me and it is all so hard to understand what is "way out there"! I was surprised when the kids were doing their chapter 2 questions from yesterday's controversial reading that they really actually liked that section because they had to rate it on a scale from 1-5 and there were lots of 4's & 5's. There may be some homework in reading tonight as there is a lot to it and we are having good discussions. In Math, we learned about different polygons. Ask them how many sides a dodegon has and write the number in the planner. Our snow people are done and they are ADORABLE!!! Tomorrow morning, we will read the book: "Snowmen at Night" and then write stories about the adventure their snowman will have at night. Can't wait to see the creativity. In fact, start talking about a good setting & adventure for their snowman tonight. If you do this, write snowman in the planner. Remember to send in a small jar for our snow globes. PTA movie night is Friday, January 11th from 6-8. Come enjoy the movie "Brave". Have a great night.
