Thank you to the 5th Grade Helpers

Today, we were fortunate to have some 5th graders in our room during math time so we took advantage of their expertise and worked hard on long division. I think almost everybody has it now. Then we moved on to simplifying (reducing) fractions in which we had to find the GCF and they were lots of help in working on this concept too. Students are finding out once again the importance of knowing their facts. Have your child simplify 10/12 in the planner for free money. We didn't get to the Lewis & Clark Exploration today as we have Library at that time. We started Selection 3 in Lead 21. The strategies/skills for this section are going to be strong predictions, summarizing, figurative language, and cause/effect. Happy Birthday to Chase. Remember PE shoes for tomorrow.
