Homecoming Parade Fun!!!!

Yes, the kids had a great time at the Homecoming Parade today and they had awesome behavior.  You will soon find out, they got TONS of candy too.  Go Falcons & Good Luck to all the sports teams!!!!!
This has been a busy fun week.  Not a lot new to post though since my post on Wednesday.
I do want to let you know that we started the math computer program called Wowzers and the students are able to log in from home if they remember their user name & password.  I would love for them to spend some time nightly practicing.
We did not get to our spelling test today, but we will take it on Monday.
Congratulations to Damion, our Student of the Week.  Some of his favorites are:  lasagna, Christmas, football, and soccer.  His idea of a perfect day is playing with friends.

Upcoming happenings for next week:
Lead 21-continuing with heritage by reading a biography about Celia Cruz and her heritage.  Foreign exchange students from Skyview will be coming on Thursday.
Also the strategy of "summarizing" as well as learning 3 kinds of figurative language.
Language/Writing-Working on nouns and writing personal narratives
Spelling-Unit 7 word list
Science-continuing with matter-experiment showing a chemical reaction as well as making some chemical compounds with clay.
Social Studies-Geography Challenges
For today's blog question, ask your child to tell you about the book we are reading called Naya Nuki.  If they can, ask them their favorite part so far and write it in the planner.
Have a great weekend.
