Happy Wednesday

Hi there-hope you are all having a great week.  First of all, I know the Lead 21 kids/parents are wondering when Heritage Day is going to be and I have decided to postpone it until Wednesday, October 21st for many reasons.  One being next week, we are on a short week with early out Wednesday and No School on Thursday & Friday.  Also, on Monday, we have pictures  & our field trip.  Then on Tuesday, I will be gone so there will be a guest teacher.  I will be out at MTSS team meetings.  So October 21st it is!!!!!  Any questions, please contact me.
Tonight is MacKenzie River Pizza Night.  A % of the proceeds go back to our school.  Have fun if you go!!!!
We are hoping to see the Skyview Foreign Exchange students tomorrow to help add to our Heritage Unit.  Will take pics and post on Friday of what we learn.
Remember Picture Day on Monday, October 12th.  Information was sent home yesterday.
Wowzers!!!!  Yes, that is the name of our on-line math program.  I know many of you have been doing it at home and that is Fantastic-keep it up!!!!
In Science, we finished our Matter unit and will be going back to Montana History after the short break.
Ask your child about the fun chemical reaction we did in class on Monday.  If they can tell you, write chemical reaction in the planner.
Figurative Language-we have been learning lots of it this week.  Ask your child which 4 (Mrs. Hankins's reading kids)  have learned.  Learning Center kids will know one of them as we did it in Read-A-Loud with Naya Nuki and that is Simile.  Tell your parents a simile about Naya Nuki. If they can, write Simile in your planner.
Thank you for getting those field trip permission slips back on time.  So appreciate it.
Next Monday, October 12th, students are going to be running the 800 for part of their fitness testing and Mrs. Neese said they can bring electronics to listen to music as they run it.
Have a great night and see you at the next post on Friday.
Remember Library books on Friday.
