Field Trip on Monday

Yes,  Monday is our field trip to the NILE.  Make sure if your child is bringing a sack lunch from home that they do so.  Those that charged it to their lunch account will have it here at school for them.
Also, make sure your child dresses for the occasion.  We talked about this today at school.  Wear comfortable clothing & shoes.  I know it is also "picture day", but that shouldn't matter as they are only taken from mid-waist & up.
Students will not be running the 800 until Monday, October 19th so no electronics until then.
Awesome Foreign Exchange students yesterday.  Yes, Mrs. Hoffman, from Skyview brought in 3 students in to share with the Lead 21 kids about their heritage & culture.  We learned so many things from about Germany, Netherlands, and Thailand.  It is so nice to have these things that help enhance & enrich our curriculum.  Our classroom heritage day for Lead 21 kiddos will be on Wednesday, October 21st.  Students need to bring in something from their culture to share as well as a written description or narrative about it and why it is important to your family or when you use it, etc. so they aren't just showing something without any background information.  If it is a food, if you could have small little samples for 13 students to try it.  Thank you and as always, if any questions, please contact me.
Today, we got to hear all about Alex and we so enjoyed it.  Some of her favorites are:  crab, science, singing/dancing, Christmas.  Her idea of a perfect day is going on a picnic with her friends.  How fun!!!
AWESOME SAUCE IN TEAM HANKINS!!!!!  I just have to say that these kids are doing so well academically, behaviorally, and all around.  I am so proud of them so Thank you!!!!  Please take a moment this weekend to reinforce that and remind them that the field trip on Monday will be a great place to show that true positive character.
Wowzers Math-they are loving it and remember it can be done at home.
