Testing is Over

Our testing is over so now we can get back to our normal communication arts block. Tomorrow students will work on a final project that they are going to present to the class on Friday as a culmination to our study of Heritage. I think we learned a lot and now it will be fun to see what was most important to each of them. Next week we are moving on to Unit 2. We had a special guest speaker today on Hurricanes. Mr. Albarez grew up in Louisiana so he encountered many hurricanes. The one that stands out as the biggest in his mind was Hurricane Andrew. It was a category 4. In Math, we are working on the concept of money. We got the counting money down wonderfully, now we are working on making change. Have your child do this one tonight. Gave:$10.00 --Cost:$7.87 --What is the change? ____ Have them count it back to you correctly. If they can do it, write money in the planner for free money. Continued on our Montana History Journals today. The kids are loving it. Ask them about our flag. If they can tell you 2 things that are in the center of the seal on the flag, write Montana in the planner. MATH HOMEWORK TONIGHT!!!!! Review sheet #2 Not a lot of other happenings due to testing. Cya-have a great night.
